Gallery Walls to Family Gatherings

A world class collection of contemporary and modern art sets the tone at this private residence in Cow Hollow neighborhood, with works by Agnes Martin, Donald Judd, Richard Estes, Damien Hirst, and others. Our client relocated from New York City to San Francisco with a clear intention to create a home that deepens connection with her adult children and feels equally suited to gallery walls and family gatherings.

Filbert Street Pacific Heights game room in San Francisco with a custom game room with a pool table, artwork on the wall, and decorative items on a side table.
We aimed to create an environment that highlights the artworks’ aesthetic and emotional impact, while ensuring the overall design supports and enhances the family’s lifestyle and enjoyment of the art.

To elevate the artwork and frame the stunning San Francisco city views, we used a neutral palette throughout—an understated backdrop that lets art, light, and skyline take center stage. Wellness was equally essential, so we designed a custom red cedar infrared sauna and a custom home gym that treats fitness as an art form.
